Notes From The Margin

While we’re on the subject of high speed ferries….

interestingly enough, Trinidad is about to take delivery of another high speed ferry for the Tobago sea bridge.

“The 98 metre catamaran vessel which came with a US$46.5M price tag, has passenger and vehicle capacities of 800 and 180 respectively and can travel at a speed of 40 knots per hour.”

I still maintain it could be a way forward to fix the regional transport problem.

  1. Margin – you share my longtime thoughts, I really do not understand why Caribbean Governments continually see fit to pump money seemingly every year into inefficient airlines which can’t even manage to encourage a higher level of inter-regional travel. Ferries definitely are the way to go.
